Eden Sena Kokui Segbefia claims roots from Durham, North Carolina, and Ghana, particularly Keta, Anyako, and Accra. They received a BA from Barnard College in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies with a concentration in Feminist Intersectional Science and Technology Studies. As a current doctoral student in the department of Communication at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, they center themes of spirituality, disability, queerness, and decolonial praxis. While they continue to grow as a theatremaker and scholar, they aim to approach their work with intentions of curiosity and play.
